Our clinic

An environment that will put you at ease

When designing our clinic, we had one focus: to create a comfortable, relaxing environment that puts our patients at ease. We provide a welcome alternative to the sterile hospital setting, and our patients appreciate our up-to-date, comfortable clinic that offers the best quality in care.

State of the art equipment

The Ontario Colonoscopy Clinics use the latest, state of the art endoscopy equipment from PENTAX, a recognized leader in the endoscopy field.

PENTAX Endoscope

PENTAX endoscopes have the highest image resolution on the market providing a 50% better image resolution than any other on the market. This makes it possible for our doctors to reliably screen for colon cancer, detect, and remove polyps if necessary.

PENTAX Procedure Cart

The PENTAX procedure cart is equipped with the most up-to-date PENTAX technology, providing the best resources for every procedure.

PENTAX Computer Processor

The PENTAX computer processor is the world’s first and only computer-based processor. It provides our doctors with the best customizable settings to ensure that each and every procedure is thorough. Digital images are taken during the procedure and a procedure report including these images can be sent to your family doctor on the same day as the procedure.

Exceeding standard sterilization procedures

The Ontario Colonoscopy Clinics go above and beyond to ensure the proper cleaning and sterilization of all colonoscopes and gastroscopes.

Specially trained personnel use an enzymatic presoak and cleaner, Klenzyme, on all equipment.

These instruments are then placed in the clinic’s state-of-the-art Steris System 1 Processor, along with a high-level disinfectant called Steris 20 Sterilant Concentrate. This solution is made up of 35% Peroxyacetic Acid, which is a sporicidal, fungicidal, bactericidal, virucidal and tuberculcidal.

Each cleaning cycle is closely monitored by staff to ensure complete sterilization. We also conduct weekly chemical and biological testing to ensure the sterilization process is effective.
